David Emory Fleet earned his bachelor's degree in science from the Florida State University. After graduating from law school, he pursued a Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama's (UA) Cumberland School of Law. For almost two decades, he worked as an assistant state attorney in Florida's First Judicial Circuit.

He joined Northwest Florida State College's Criminal Justice Training Center as an adjunct professor. His knowledge and experience in the field make him an ideal addition to the faculty. The training center's full-time instructors are complemented by a group of highly qualified instructors, such as David, to keep the programs up-to-date with the latest trends and technological advancements. The institute that runs the program, IPTM, is a leading provider of police technology.

For over eight years, David worked on multidisciplinary teams that investigated and prosecuted cases involving children. He is dedicated to ensuring that the criminal justice community and child protective services are able to respond quickly and effectively to situations involving abuse and neglect.

Several jurisdictions have started establishing multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) that are made up of experts from various fields, such as medicine, law, and children's services. These groups are designed to enhance the coordination and efficiency of the response to situations involving children.

For the past eight years, David's role within the multidisciplinary teams changed from lecturer to consultant. He provided his expertise and advice to various jurisdictions, such as Georgia, Florida, Alabama, West Virginia, and North Carolina. He also represented clients in civil and criminal cases.
